Description:
At 327 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Black Canyon City Trailhead to near Castle Hot
Springs to 12 miles northwest of Cottonwood Day Use Area. Movement
was southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
New River, Lake Pleasant, Pipeline Canyon Trailhead, Cottonwood Day
Use Area, Black Canyon City Trailhead, Castle Creek Boat Ramp, and
Anthem.
This includes the following highways...
AZ Interstate 17 between mile markers 226 and 241.
AZ Route 74 between mile markers 9 and 28.
