River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...La Moine River at Ripley. * WHEN...From this afternoon to Wednesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, FLOOD STAGE. Farmland flooding and rural damages begin. At 23.0 feet, Moderate flooding begins. Extensive cropland is flooded below the gauge near the LaGrange Lock Road bridge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 21.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 22.8 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
