Warning for the following rivers in Illinois...
Illinois River at Hardin.
Illinois River at Valley City.
River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Illinois River at Valley City.
* WHEN...From Wednesday morning until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, The road to Norbut Fish and Wildlife area
is flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 12.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
Wednesday morning and continue rising to 15.6 feet Sunday, June
21. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
