Counties.
* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring.
* WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S.
* WHEN...Until Saturday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Water affects many residences along the
river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 12.9 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:30 AM CDT Sunday was 12.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to crest at 12.9 feet this
afternoon and evening. It will then fall below flood stage
next Saturday, June 20th.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
