Rock River at Moline affecting Rock Island and Henry IL Counties.
* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring.
* WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S.
* WHEN...Until Sunday, June 21.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Water affects many residences along the
river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 12.9 feet and slowly
falling.
- The river crested earlier this afternoon.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Saturday afternoon and continue falling to 9.6 feet next
Sunday, June 21.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
The next statement will be issued by Monday evening at 815 PM CDT.
