* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring.
* WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S.
* WHEN...Until early Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Water affects many residences along the
river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 12.9 feet and slowly
falling.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Saturday evening and continue falling to 9.4 feet Monday,
June 22.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
The next statement will be issued by Tuesday morning at 830 AM CDT.
