...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Missouri... James River near Boaz affecting Christian and Stone Counties. For the James River...including Boaz...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...James River near Boaz. * WHEN...Until tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Low water crossing on the west side of the bridge at the gage site floods. Low lying areas on the west side of the river are under several feet of water. Shelvin Rock Access is flooded by several feet of water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 14.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 PM CDT Sunday was 14.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.5 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 15.4 feet on 05/22/2019. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
