MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY, NORTH CENTRAL MOUNTAINS, SANDIA, MANZANO
MOUNTAINS, AND CENTRAL HIGHLANDS...
.Hot, dry, and windy conditions that develop over the Northwest
Plateau on Tuesday will spread as far southeast as the Central
Highlands on Wednesday due to strengthening northwest flow aloft and
a surface trough in the lee of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque NM has issued a Red Flag
Warning in effect from 1 PM to 7 PM MDT Tuesday.
* AFFECTED AREA...Northwest Plateau (Zone 101).
* TIMING...For the Red Flag Warning, from 1 PM to 7 PM MDT Tuesday.
For the Fire Weather Watch, from Wednesday afternoon through
Wednesday evening.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...For the Red Flag Warning, northwest winds 15 to 20
mph with gusts up to 35 mph, and for the Fire Weather Watch,
northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...For the Red Flag Warning, Relative Humidity
between 5 to 9 percent, and for the Fire Weather Watch, Relative
Humidity between 6 to 9 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is not recommended.
