At 412 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from 8 miles northwest of Newkirk to 6 miles southeast of Puerto de Luna, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Santa Rosa, Cuervo, Newkirk and Puerto De Luna. This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 274 and 308.
