Description:
At 1128 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 6.5 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.1 inches are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Weslaco, Donna, Mercedes, Progreso, Llano Grande, Estero Llano
Grande State Park, Weslaco East High School, Black Elementary
School, Knapp Medical Center, Isaac D. Rodriguez Park, Villa Verde,
Weslaco Public Library, Harlon Block Sports Complex, Weslaco Fire
Department Station Two, Progreso High School, Weslaco City Park,
Weslaco City Hall, South Texas High School For Health Professions
and Llano Grande Country Club.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
