The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Yavapai County in west central Arizona...
* Until 745 PM MST.
* At 553 PM MST, a river gauge on the Agua Fria River at Kelton Ranch
east of Cordes Junction reported a rapid rise of 4 feet from
thunderstorms producing heavy rain earlier across the warned area.
Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is
ongoing through the Agua Fria River, and will continue southward
over the next few hours.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...River gauge reported.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and
underpasses.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
Silver Creek, South Prong Sycamore Creek, Agua Fria River, Badger
Spring Wash, Antelope Creek, Dry Creek, Big Bug Creek, Indian
Creek, Sycamore Creek, Bishop Creek, Little Sycamore Creek and Tank
Creek.
Instruction:
Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become
muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become
flooded as well.
Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not
attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
