Northwestern Craven County in eastern North Carolina...
Southeastern Pitt County in eastern North Carolina...
West central Beaufort County in eastern North Carolina...
* Until 400 PM EDT.
* At 312 PM EDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Fort Barnwell,
or 12 miles east of Kinston, moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Damaging tornado.
SOURCE...Emergency management confirmed tornado. At 310PM, damage
was reported near 4500 Middle Road near Dover.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught withou
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Washington, Grifton, Calico, Shelmerdine, Black Jack, Fort
Barnwell, Wilmar, Chocowinity, Grimesland, Dover, and Gardnerville.

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.
