Description:
At 812 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing a waterspout 5 miles south of Coden, or 7 miles
south of Bayou La Batre, moving north at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs
and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Bayou La Batre, Coden, and Alabama Port.
Instruction:
