Gila County in east central Arizona...
* Until 1245 AM MST.
* At 1212 AM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles southeast
of Round Valley, or 8 miles southeast of Payson, moving northeast
at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Star Valley, Round Valley, Tonto Village, Christopher Creek, Hunter
Creek, Kohls Ranch, Mead Ranch, Bear Flat, Ellison Creek Estates,
La Cienega and Hellsgate Wilderness.

State Route 260 between mile markers 255 and 273...and between mile
markers 276 and 277. State Route 87 near mile marker 245.

Upper Tonto Creek Campground, Sharp Creek Campground, Ponderosa

Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
