* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Arkansas, including the following areas, Ashley and Chicot, northeast Louisiana, including the following parishes, Catahoula, Concordia, East Carroll, Franklin LA, Madison LA, Morehouse, Richland, Tensas and West Carroll, and Mississippi, including the following areas, Adams, Attala, Choctaw, Claiborne, Clarke, Copiah, Hinds, Holmes, Humphreys, Issaquena, Jasper, Jefferson, Kemper, Lauderdale, Leake, Lowndes, Madison MS, Neshoba, Newton, Noxubee, Oktibbeha, Rankin, Scott, Sharkey, Simpson, Smith, Warren, Washington, Winston and Yazoo. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Very heavy rainfall rates will be possible with storms crossing the area today, and recent heavy rainfall makes the watch area more vulnerable than usual to flash flooding.
