At 626 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Brewster, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
New Haven, Waterbury, Danbury, Meriden, Milford, Middletown,
Wallingford, Shelton, Naugatuck, Guilford, Southbury, Wolcott,
Colchester, Clinton, and East Hampton.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
southern Connecticut...and southeastern New York.
