Description:
At 518 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking
a strong thunderstorm near Mission Bay, or 9 miles north of Coral
Springs, moving northeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Delray Beach, Parkland, Loxahatchee NWR, Mission Bay, Whisper Walk,
Kings Point, Hamptons At Boca Raton, Dunes Road, Morikami Park,
Villages Of Oriole, South County Regional Park, and Boca Raton
Equestrian.
Instruction:
These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around
unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the
storm passes.
