Description:
At 522 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking
a strong thunderstorm near Miccosukee Service Plaza, or 28 miles west
of Sunrise. This storm was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Miccosukee Service Plaza and West Broward Rec. Area On Alligator
Alley.
Instruction:
These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around
unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the
storm passes.
