Description:
At 244 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Durbin, or 10 miles east of Fruit Cove, moving northeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts around 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Green Cove Springs, World Golf Village, Palm Valley, Sawgrass, South
Ponte Vedra, Nocatee, Durbin, Picolata, Guana River State Park, and
South Ponte Vedra Beach.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
