Description:
At 745 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was near Waterhouse, or 9 miles
north of Forney, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Up to 40 mph wind, pea sized hail and frequent cloud to
ground lightning.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
light, unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Rome, Adairsville, Euharlee, Cave Spring, Kingston, Shannon, Pinson,
Lindale, and Coosa.
Instruction:
People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for
northwestern Georgia.
