Description:
At 434 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles north of Du Pont to Hahira to near
Ochlocknee. Movement was southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Moultrie, Adel, Valdosta, Thomasville, Lakeland, Quitman, Hahira,
Sparks, Boston, Ray City, Ochlocknee, Pavo, Coolidge, I-75 At Exit
16, Moody Air Force Base, Riverside, Remerton, Meigs, Dasher, and
Morven.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
