Description:
At 453 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Adel to near Ray City to 7 miles northwest
of Mayday. Movement was north at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Nashville, Lakeland, Adel, Tifton, Sparks, Enigma, Ray City, Lenox,
Alapaha, Moody Air Force Base, Meigs, Cecil, Reed Bingham State Park,
Eldorado, New Lois, Barretts, Massee, Greggs, Flat Ford, and Glory.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
