Northeastern Irwin County in south central Georgia... * Until 245 PM EDT. * At 1146 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported several road closures across the county due to thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected to continue. Between 2.5 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
