Turkey Creek at Byromville affecting Dooly County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Turkey Creek at Byromville. * WHEN...From this evening to Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Minor flooding expands into the woodland areas upstream and downstream from the stream gage on Georgia Highway 90. Larger portions of creek access roads will flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 PM EDT Friday the stage was 10.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 PM EDT Friday was 10.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.6 feet just after midnight tonight, and then slowly fall back to below minor flood stage by Saturday evening. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 10.6 feet on 02/13/2024. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
