Description:
* WHAT...For the Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions
with heat index values 112 to 118 degrees. For the Extreme Heat
Watch, dangerously hot conditions with heat index values 115 to 120
degrees possible.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina.
* WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM EDT this evening.
For the Extreme Heat Watch, from Friday morning through Friday
evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Isolated showers and thunderstorms each
afternoon may provide relief in some areas.
Instruction:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sunshine, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
