At 526 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Calhoun Falls to 6 miles south of Lincolnton to 7 miles north of Stapleton, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and powerlines. Locations impacted include... Evans, Thomson, McCormick, Lincolnton, Appling, Clarks Hill Recreation Area, Elijah Clark State Park, Riverwood, Mistletoe State Park, Wrightsboro, J. Strom Thurmond Dam, Mccormick County Airport, Thomson-McDuffie County Airport, Plum Branch, Bordeaux, Thomson Fire Department, Scott's Landing, McDuffie Regional Medical Center, Knox Scout Reservation, and Double Branches. This includes Interstate 20 in Georgia between mile markers 167 and 185.
