Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast Illinois, including the following
counties, Cook and Will and northwest Indiana, including the
following county, Lake IN.
* WHEN...Until 615 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 307 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain with rates in excess of 1 inch per hour.
Around 1 inch of rain has fallen in portions of the advisory
area.

South Side of Joliet, Hammond, Gary, Tinley Park, Calumet
City, Portage, Merrillville, Chicago Heights, East Chicago,
Schererville, Hobart, Lansing, Oak Forest, Crown Point,
Harvey, and New Lenox.

Instruction:
A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
