Sangamon River at Monticello affecting Piatt County. .The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation, soil moisture conditions, and forecast precipitation. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Sangamon River at Monticello. * WHEN...Until tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Flooding of agricultural areas begins. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 13.3 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 PM CDT Tuesday was 13.7 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight to 11.8 feet Thursday evening. It will then rise to 12.1 feet early Saturday morning. It will fall to 11.2 feet early Sunday afternoon. It will then rise to 11.3 feet early Monday morning.
