Description:
At 557 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Odin, or 5
miles southwest of Salem, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Wamac, Central City, Centralia, Junction City, Sandoval, Odin,
Walnut Hill, Selmaville, Tonti, Salem, Cartter, Kell, Iuka and
Helm.
This includes Interstate 57 in Illinois between exits 109 and 116.
Instruction:
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
