At 606 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Carlyle, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Carlyle, Huey, Ferrin, Shattuc and Wamac. This includes the following State Parks... Eldon Hazlet State Recreation Area.
Instruction: 
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large hail. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built structure. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for a portion of south central Illinois.
