Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following counties,
Elkhart, La Porte and St. Joseph and southwest Michigan, including
the following counties, Branch, Cass MI, Hillsdale and St. Joseph
MI.
* WHEN...Until 545 AM EDT /445 AM CDT/.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1247 AM EDT /1147 PM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy
rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and
2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
South Bend, Elkhart, Mishawaka, Michigan City, La Porte,
Coldwater, Hillsdale, Three Rivers, Westville, Georgetown,
Trail Creek, Simonton Lake, Granger, Bronson, Jonesville,
Constantine, New Carlisle, Quincy, White Pigeon and
Centreville.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
