* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northwest Indiana, including the following county, Porter. * WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 357 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain with rates of up to 1 to 2 inches per hour. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the advisory area, which will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Portage, Valparaiso, Chesterton, Lakes of the Four Seasons, South Haven, Porter, Winfield, Burns Harbor, Ogden Dunes, Town of Pines, Beverly Shores, Wheeler, Dune Acres and Malden. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
