Description:
At 447 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Monticello, moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Logansport, Monticello, Brookston, Reynolds, Chalmers, Burnettsville,
Clymers, Smithson, Headlee, Golden Hill, Indiana Beach, Norway,
Idaville, Sitka, Cedar Point, Bell Center, Buffalo, and Lake Cicott.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for
north central and northwestern Indiana.
