...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...
Illinois...
Wabash River from Lafayette to Riverton.
Wildcat Creek near Lafayette.
.Rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 4 inches across much of the area is
bringing minor lowland flooding to most of the Wabash River basin.
The Wabash should crest by Friday morning at Lafayette and Terre
Haute on Saturday. Flooding may redevelop on the upper Wabash or be
extended at downriver points by moderate to heavy rainfall that is
expected Sunday into Monday which is not included in the current
forecasts.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Wabash River at Covington.
* WHEN...From late tonight to late Saturday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Low agricultural lands begin to flood.
Backyard flooding of cottages on right bank starts a short
distance upstream of gage. Critical stage of Young-Neal Levee is
reached.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 14.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tonight to a crest of 16.7 feet early tomorrow
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Saturday
morning.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
