Verdigris River at Independence affecting Montgomery and Wilson Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Verdigris River at Altoona. * WHEN...From late tonight to early tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Expect flooding of agricultural fields and gravel road near the river bridge off of Highway 47. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 8.5 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.0 feet just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
Instruction: 
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.
