Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Kentucky, including the following
counties, Harlan and Leslie.
* WHEN...Until 430 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 130 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
advisory area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Harlan, Cumberland, Loyall, Evarts, Lynch, Benham, Wallins
Creek, Verda, Ages, Kildav, Coxton, Putney, Bailey Creek,
Darkmont, Rosspoint, Golden Ash, Chevrolet, Kitts, Short Town
and Kenvir.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
