* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, southwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 109 expected. * WHERE...Portions of central, south central, and southwest Louisiana. * WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 8 PM CDT this evening. For the Heat Advisory, from noon to 7 PM CDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
Instruction: 
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
