Central Bossier Parish in northwestern Louisiana...
Caddo Parish in northwestern Louisiana...
Northwestern De Soto Parish in northwestern Louisiana...
* Until noon CDT.
* At 904 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain over Fosters, or over Bossier City, moving east at 20
mph. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 2.5 inches in 1 hour. Flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Shreveport, Bossier City, Haughton, Greenwood, Blanchard, Benton,
Stonewall, Oil City, Mooringsport, Belcher, Fosters, Eastwood,
Barksdale Air Force Base, Ferguson, Cross Lake, Forbing, Red Chute,
Bodcau and Robson.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
