Southeastern Belknap County in central New Hampshire... East central Merrimack County in central New Hampshire... Southeastern Carroll County in northern New Hampshire... * Until 515 PM EDT. * At 420 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 12 miles north of Fryeburg to near Wolfeboro to near Concord, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Lewiston, Rochester, Auburn, Biddeford, Westbrook, Durham, Conway, Bridgton, Fryeburg, Mechanic Falls, Alfred, Bethel, Sanford, Naples, Ossipee, Northwood, Turner, Dover, Cumberland, and Saco. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM EDT for western and southwestern Maine...and central, northern and southern New Hampshire.
