Description: 
At 617 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Loch Lynn Heights, or over Mountain Lake Park, moving east at 65 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Bayard, Bittinger, Grantsville, Merrill, Big Run State Park, Gorman, New Germany, Piney Grove, Jennings, and Gormania. This includes Interstate 68 in Maryland between mile markers 17 and 30.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
