Description:
At 625 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Berne to near Williamstown. Movement was
southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Albany, Troy, Pittsfield, East Greenbush, North Adams, Watervliet,
Rensselaer, Colonie, Chatham, Nassau, Delmar, Guilderland, Adams,
Williamstown, Lenox, Menands, Pownal, New Baltimore, Ravena, and
Cheshire.
People attending Tanglewood should seek safe shelter immediately!
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 90 between exits 10 and 24.
Interstate 87 between exits 21B and 2.
Interstate 787 between exits 1 and 8.
