Description:
At 235 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Shaftsbury to Hoosick Falls to near Center
Brunswick, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Bennington, North Adams, Hoosick Falls, Williamstown, Shaftsbury,
Pownal, Grafton, Berlin, Cambridge, Center Brunswick, Brunswick,
Hoosick, Lee, Pittstown, White Creek, Easton, Stillwater, North
Bennington, Schaghticoke, and Valley Falls.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 PM EDT for western
Massachusetts...east central New York...and southern Vermont.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
