South Central Pearl River County in southern Mississippi... * Until 330 PM CDT. * At 136 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported water is approaching homes and businesses. Multiple roads are closed due to flooding including US Highway 11 and Interstate 59 near Picayune. Between 8 and 11 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Picayune and Nicholson, Mississippi. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW! HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!
