Description:
At 1026 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Nine Mile Point to near Weedsport, moving east at
60 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Oswego, Fulton, Weedsport, Cato, Mexico Point State Park, Nine Mile
Point, Battle Island State Park, Scriba, Volney, and Palermo.
This includes Interstate 90 near exit 40.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 PM EDT for central New
York.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
