At 213 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near River Road, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Washington, River Road, Pinetown, Blounts Creek, Cox Crossroads, Core Point, Bunyan, Terra Ceia, Goose Creek State Park, Chocowinity, Long Acre VFD, and Washington Park.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for eastern North Carolina.
