Description:
At 240 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing a landspout over Brunswick County Community
College Main Campus, or 10 miles northwest of Ocean Crest Pier. This
thunderstorm was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Landspouts and wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds
could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured
objects.
Locations impacted include...
Brunswick County Community College Main Campus, Bolivia, and
Brunswick Novant Medical Center.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
