Description:
At 641 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Bedford to 12 miles north of Cumberland to
near Frostburg. Movement was east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Bedford, Breezewood, Clearville, Everett, Buffalo Mills, Crystal
Springs, Lake Gordon, Inglesmith, Hyndman, Schellsburg, Manns Choice,
Wellersburg, New Baltimore, Rainsburg, and Callimont.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
south central Pennsylvania.
