Description:
* WHAT...For the Gale Warning, northeast winds around 30 kt with
gusts up to 40 kt and seas 12 to 15 feet. For the Storm Watch,
northeast winds 30 to 40 kt with gusts up to 50 kt and seas 13
to 17 feet possible.
* WHERE...Waters from Sandy Hook NJ to Montauk Point NY from 20
to 60 nm.
* WHEN...For the Gale Warning, until 6 PM EDT Thursday. For the
Storm Watch, from Thursday evening through Friday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Storm force winds and hazardous seas could capsize
or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
Instruction:
Mariners should prepare to remain in port, alter course, and/or
secure the vessel before the onset of severe conditions.
