Description:
* WHAT...For the Gale Warning, north winds 30 to 40 kt with
gusts up to 45 kt and seas 9 to 14 ft expected. For the Storm
Watch, northeast winds 35 to 40 kt with gusts up to 50 kt and
seas 18 to 23 ft possible.
* WHERE...The offshore waters from Oregon Inlet to Ocracoke
Inlet.
* WHEN...For the Gale Warning, from 1 PM to 8 PM EDT Saturday.
For the Storm Watch, from Saturday evening through Sunday
evening.
* IMPACTS...Storm force winds and hazardous seas could capsize
or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
Instruction:
Mariners should prepare to remain in port, alter course, and/or
secure the vessel before the onset of severe conditions.
