Description:
* WHAT...For the Tropical Storm Watch and Small Craft Advisory,
southwest winds 30 to 40 kt with gusts up to 55 kt and seas 11 to
16 feet expected.
* WHERE...Tinian and Saipan Coastal Waters.
* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, from 5 PM Thursday to 5 PM
ChST Sunday. For the Tropical Storm Watch, beginning Thursday
evening.
* IMPACTS...Tropical storm force winds will cause hazardous seas
which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tropical Storm 26W continues to
develop as it moves westward towards Anatahan and Alamagan.
Tropical storm force winds may expand southward over
Saipan and Tinian Thursday evening. Seas will become hazardous
to small craft by Thursday afternoon and could become hazardous
by Thursday night.
Instruction:
Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid boating in hazardous conditions.
